Episode 9; Right Place, Right Time
Episode 9; Right Place, Right Time
You make a decision and the results are shown sooner or later. A butterfly flaps its wings and rain starts pouring. In other words, whatever you do has its effects. But imagine this: What would happen if your past/present decisions were never made? Would you still be going down the same path or be experiencing a new one?
Exhibit A: Abdul Mega Irani.
Mega has told us this story time & time again- and within those times, we've hit his head so hard to why he made this awful decision.
You see, he got 17 points for his O'lvls. Big whoop. But due to the Direct School Admission exercise, which enables a student to directly enter a JC of his/her choice via his/her CCA, Mega declined to... wait- I need a better, fragile word for this. Mmm. Oh, Mega REJECTED Tampines JC & St.Andrews JC to enter Yishun JC. No, I'm not implying that YJC is bad/lousy/old/pathetic/etc but look at it this way, two of the top JCs wanted him & he simply rejected them. Despite feeling 'I-would've-picked-TPJC/SAJC-instead-Mega', I actually felt glad he came to our JC.
If he'd gone to either of those JCs, we wouldn't have an awesome, cute, cuddly friend with us. We wouldn't have known girls through him ( Mega's our *sugardaddy ). We wouldn't be able to experience the slowness in him. We wouldn't have an awesome bassist besides Irfan with us. Chasing Juliet wouldn't have been formed. That's how a small ripple would affect the calm waters. Yeah, THAT exaggerating.

Exhibit B: Amirun Rasyid
Amirun, a.k.a Afro, had gotten 14 points for his O'lvls. Now that's awesome, right? He could have entered TPJC and joined the other ESSS doods. But due to his 'small' CCA involvement, he couldn't enter and was thrown to Pioneer JC. I have no idea if it's a blessing or a curse but thanks to that, he decided to enter YJC. Again, if he were to have an awesome CCA record, we'd lose another awesome soccer player, an awesome singer-guitarist & YJC wouldn't have the first-ever afro student.
Yeah. It's weird but if someone were to ask me to change anything in the past, I'd say I'll only change the important ones but would leave the rest the way it is. I'm thankful and depsite the ups/downs I've experienced, I can't really complain. That's life.
But I bet Mega does have his small regrets. Haha.
*sugardaddy- A guy who has ( almost ) all contacts and info of girls & all the girls know him & like him well enough.
