Guys, being embarrassed is a normal, typical feeling. It occurs when you do something stupid, silly or in anyway causes people to laugh at you. In fact, sometimes it may work to your advantage rather to your disadvantage. But that's BEING embarrassed.
How about GETTING embarrassed?
A few days ago, me, Anwar, Mega & Amirun took the 969 bus home. It's the only direct bus to Tampines from Yishun. I sat with Amirun while Mega sat with Anwar. I was having a talk with Amirun when suddenly Mega & Anwar interrupted us. I don't know what really happened but by judging the way Anwar's & Mega's story being similar, it's pretty credible.
So while I was talking with Mirun, apparently Mega & Anwar was looking outside the bus when it stopped at his bus stop. They saw this couple. The girl waved for the bus to stop and it did. She boarded the bus and was expecting her boyfriend to board it too.
Before I continue, I would like to say that the feeling of being ditched is truly heartbreaking.
Yeah, you guessed it. Her boyfriend ditched her and walked away, leaving her on the bus alone. Now, getting ditched is one thing but getting embarrassed in front of the people who saw that, particularly Anwar & Mega, would be just adding insult to injury.
Embarrassing? Definitely.
That worked to her disadvantage. How about advantage then? Remember about that infamous incident that changed Anwar's life? Yes, I'm talking about 'The Minah'.
Earlier today, Muzzie, our drum demon, was walking with us to the mosque for our usual Friday prayers. Now, as we were walking, we saw this awesome bike. What we didn't see was three secondary school minahs walking opposite our direction. Three minahs. Similar much?
Yeah, so were walking and Muzzie suddenly came running up to me and told me, "Syaf, I just experienced 'The Minah'."
What happened? Well, one of the minah, apparently looked at the bike and commented it to Muzzie saying, "Cool bike." They walked away and laughed. Muzzie didn't really experienced 'The Minah' fully. Only 1/3 of it.
At one point, I really thought minahs worldwide actually read my blog. Hmm. Hahaha. Why did it work to Muzzie's advantage eventhough it's embarrassing? Because he now has the luxury and experience of being the 2nd guy to experience the one thing that all mats have experienced,
'The Minah'.
Or at least 1/3 of it.
