Have your parents ever warned you not to mix around with that particular kid? That boy your parents tell you to stay away from? And everything your parents don't want you to end up to be like? I'm that guy.
okay, this one I've written, it's a spin-off to the Resident Evil franchise. for those who have no idea what Resident Evil is, it's a zombie game turned to film, spawning a trilogy. should watch it, it's great fun! haha.
by the way, it's rated NC-16 due to the language. I don't want you kids to be learning this eh.
RESIDENT EVIL: ESCAPE
A press conference was taking place. 2 guys- one, tall and slender, wearing a suit while another, tall and dark, wearing a polo t-shirt and jeans entered the room. There was a lady behind them; she was wearing black top and jeans.
“Tell us what happened!” a reporter shouted from across the room.
“Was it the most nerve-wrecking experience of your life?” another male reporter asked.
“Ha-ha.” the guy in the suit, West Coleman, laughed sarcastically and continued, “We almost died out there. Nerve-wrecking is definitely not the proper word I’d use.”
“Tell us what happened!” that same reporter shouted again.
“You really wanna know?” the tall, dark guy asked. In front of where he sat had his name printed on the table. It read ‘Alex Wood’.
“I’ll tell you what happened,” he continued.
‘RESIDENT EVIL: ESCAPE’
3 guys were running as fast as their legs could carry them. They run into an alley and hid behind a big trash bin. Alex Wood was panting heavily as his buddies, Martin and Zack looked out.
“Can they smell us?” Martin asked as he panted.
“Yeah, but uh, this garbage smell might confuse them,” Alex replied as he looked around their surroundings.
“I can see the train line from here. We can make it out!” Zack exclaimed as he climbed a ladder.
Like what Zack mentioned, the train line was indeed visible. They were near it. The train line was the only link between Racoon City and Stone-Ville, a town located east of Racoon City.
Zack went down the ladder and stopped halfway. He was facing a window panel. The room on the opposite side seemed bright. He opened the window to check if any survivors were in there.
“Anyone in here?” he shouted as he climbed inside.
“What the hell is he doing? Call him back down!” Alex asked and instructed Martin to get Zack back down.
“What the fuck!” Zack screamed as gunshots were fired from inside the room. Zack screamed in pain after the gunshots ceased.
“They got him! Run!” Alex shouted to Martin as they ran towards the train line.
Martin turned around as he was running but only to see around 20 flesh-eating, decayed human beings- otherwise known as zombies- chasing them.
“Go, go, go!” Martin shouted as they sprinted. Those zombies eventually lost them.
Both reached the train line and followed the track which would eventually lead them to Stone-Ville. Halfway through, both stopped to rest.
“I can’t believe Zack’s gone, man.” Martin said as he tried to come to terms of the loss of his brother.
“You’ll lose everything now.” Alex replied in remorse.
“It’s all that fucking Umbrella Corporation’s fault!” Martin raged but it would do no good. He still won’t get back his brother.
Suddenly there was some movement in the tall grasses. Alex and Martin immediately pulled out their handguns they found by the streets. It was fully loaded.
“Whoa! Don’t shoot!” 3 other guys and a lady stepped out from those tall grasses. Apparently, they were survivors too. The lady was wearing a torn red jacket with jeans while the other 3 men were in police uniform. The S.T.A.R.S logo was clearly visible. One of them, West Coleman, introduced them to Alex and Martin.
“I’m West Coleman. Those two are Jack and Rob. That lady is Liz.”
“Where are you guys heading? Is every where’s infected? I couldn’t get any reply from the talkies.” Jack asked them.
“We don’t know. We just escaped 20 plus of them back there.” Martin replied and pointed to back where they were from.
“Where are you guys from?” Alex asked.
“Racoon City Hospital. Had to get some supplies but...” Rob paused.
“We’ve lost 4 other survivors back there.” West finished his sentence and continued, “We found Liz there.”
“Stone-Ville is at the end of this track. We’re heading there for supplies and help.” Alex revealed to the trio.
The three decided to follow Alex and Martin to Stone-Ville. Their walk there was cautious as not only zombies were lurking around but infected animals that turned them into flesh-eating creatures.
A virus aptly called the T-Virus was released accidentally in The Hive; an Umbrella Corporation top secret underground laboratory located beneath Racoon City which unleashed flesh-eating zombies- who are actually the staff working there. Soon after, the virus was released from The Hive to Racoon City. Within mere hours, the whole city was infected and wiped out.
“Hold on, I need to rest,” Rob said as he panted and squatted down. A few more miles to the village, the dark trees surrounding them made the atmosphere much more deceiving. They had to keep a constant lookout.
“We’re almost there?” Rob asked.
“Yeah. Looks like it,” Martin replied as he pointed to smoke coming out from a chimney a few miles away.
“Okay, good-“A dog-like creature jumped out of nowhere and pounced on Rob. It bit him in his neck and blood was gushing out. Rob struggled for his gun.
“Shit!” Jack exclaimed as he, West, Alex and Martin pulled their guns out and shoot the creature. Liz screamed and hid behind them, terrified.
“Die motherfucker, die!” Jack shouted but 3 zombies from the trees pulled him away. Alex and turned towards Jack and shot the zombies but they had bitten Jack’s arm and neck.
The creature however was shot in the head and fell on the ground, bleeding. Rob however had his neck decapitated from the vicious bit from that creature. Blood was everywhere.
“Jack! You okay?” West approached him and attended to him.
“It’s no use, man. I’ve been bitten. I’m gonna be one of them soon. Hah,” he still had the time to joke.
Alex pushed West away, took out his gun aimed at Jack’s head and shot him.
“I’m sorry, mate.” That was all Alex could say.
“WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!” West shouted at Alex as he grabbed him by the collar.
“He was going to be one of them. You know that, we know that. He’ll slow us down. He’ll kill us eventually,” Alex answered calmly. West had tears in his eyes and stared at Alex. He knew Alex was right. He let go of his grip.
“Let’s go now. It’s getting dark.” Martin exclaimed as the group headed to Stone-Ville. Liz turned back only to see the branches of the trees moving.
They reached Stone-Ville, a deserted town, a ghost town. Everything was a mess. Crashed cars, shattered glass everywhere and mostly, blood. They entered houses to search for supplies- mainly food and first-aid. Martin found an empty apartment. It served as a resting ground and a lookout spot.
“Liz, what’s your story?” Alex asked as he sat next to her.
“I woke up only to see my younger brother eating my dad’s chest out. My mum’s stomach was empty, filled with blood,” she replied, obviously traumatised.
“Hello! Is anyone there? Is there any survivors out there?” the walkie-talkie sounded.
West immediately answered, “Yes! I’m Officer West. I’m with 3 other survivors. We’re at Stone-Ville. Who am I speaking to?”
“We’re from Sheena Island. You’re talking to Vincent Goldman. We’ll deploy a helicopter there at 2300 hours at central town. That’s the last help you can get. Everywhere else is infected.”
The walkie-talkie went silent. West looked at his watch, ’10.14pm’. They had approximately 45 minutes to escape.
“Guys, we’ve got 45 minutes before the helicopter comes. We have to go to central town. It’ll be-“ West paused. He heard banging on the door. Martin opened the curtains a little only to see hundreds of infected town folks banging on the door.
“They’re outside!” Martin whispered.
“There’s a back door,” Alex said as all of them silently head to the back door but Martin turned back to grab his gun by the window.
The window was smashed by the zombies. They grabbed Martin out. Alex, Liz and West turned but Martin was already outside- held viciously by the zombies. Alex ran back to window, shooting the zombies but to no avail. Martin pointed his gun to his head and blasted his brains out.
He fell on the ground while the zombies feasted on him. Alex looked on with pain and exited through the back door along with West and Liz. They ran to central town and by then, it was already 10.50pm. 10 more minutes before help will come.
Zombies were seen approaching them. Liz started screaming. West took out his gun as Alex got ready with his gun too.
“Ready?” West asked Alex as both pointed their guns at the approaching zombies.
“Shoot their head. Let’s fucking kill them,” Alex said, ready and armed.
“Liz, stay behind us,” West instructed as Liz stayed close behind them.
Alex and West started shooting the approaching zombies. As they were saving themselves, the helicopter arrived. A rope-ladder was let down from the helicopter.
“Grab it, Liz!” West shouted as Liz climbed the rope-ladder.
“You go next, Alex,” West told Alex as he continued shooting.
“No! We go. Grab the ladder on my count of 3!” Alex replied.
Both stopped shooting as their bullets ran out. The zombies were closing in rapidly. They had them surrounded. Alex looked up and counted to 3. West got ready.
“1... 2... 3!” Alex shouted as both he and West jumped to grab the ladder. But one of the zombies got hold of Alex’s ankle.
“Shit!” Alex exclaimed as he tried to shake it off. West tried to shoot but he had no bullets left. Suddenly, a shot to the head and the zombie let go and fell down to the ground. His organs tore open upon impact. Both Alex and West looked up. Liz was holding a shotgun given by the officer in the helicopter. She smiled awkwardly.
Back at the conference room, there was a lot of murmuring. The reporters had their story. Alex smiled at Liz while West answered more questions. Their horror was over. They were safe at Sheena Island. Then someone was shouting through the radio.
“They’ve reached Sheena Island. They’ve reached- argh!” the guy screamed as the radio went silent with background noises.
